Place Called Love

A 1 track reggae single (4m 28s) — released June 18th 2021 on Mad Clown Productions

It has been well documented that UK Lovers Rock exploded onto the reggae scene in the 1980s and created a new generation of stars like Maxi Priest, Janet Kay, Peter Hunnigale, and Carol Thompson to name but a few. There were also however, some 'stars' that slipped under the radar. One such star is Yvie D.

Back then, Yvie was a song writer and lead/backing vocalist with gigging bands 'Chakwanza' (Reggae) and 'Into The Red' (Soul/Funk) as well as plying her trade as a studio session singer, where her smooth and relaxed vocal style graced many a recorded track.

Like many artists of the day, it wasn't easy to attain success but even taking time out to raise a family, Yvie continued singing and writing and even found time to join several gospel choirs. We've reached the point where Mad Clown Productions refuses to let Yvie continue to fly 'under the radar'. Her time is NOW..... time for everyone to hear more of her beautiful voice.

So … (drum roll please!) … World, this is YVIE D!!!
